What the daily motivational text message is

Every day, one message arrives in Telegram. It has three parts and nothing else.

  1. A photo from her day. The gym, the street on the way there, the harbor wall with a coffee. A real morning, not a stock sunrise.
  2. One quote, with the author's name. Marcus Aurelius, Muhammad Ali, Maya Angelou, Vince Lombardi. Every line was checked against a source before it went into the deck, and she never sends you the same one twice.
  3. Then she is there. Answer it, or do not. If you answer, she asks how yesterday went and what today's one thing is. If you do not, tomorrow's arrives anyway.

What a morning looks like: a photo from Michelle's day, one quote with its author, and a translate button under it if English is not your language.

Why real quotes with real names

Most motivational text messages you get from apps are slogans with a famous name attached, and the name is often wrong. Three examples from our own checking:

  • "Success is not final, failure is not fatal" comes from a 1938 advertisement, not Winston Churchill.
  • "We are what we repeatedly do" is Will Durant summarizing Aristotle, not Aristotle.
  • The "strongest of the species" line about survival was written by Leon Megginson in 1963, not Charles Darwin.

Lines like those were thrown out. What survived is shorter and better: each quote carries the name of the person who actually said or wrote it. A daily inspirational message with a real person behind it is a different thing from a slogan. You can read the whole deck on the quotes page, or start with the morning collection and the daily collection.

When it arrives

Once a day, at the same time every day, the same for everyone. Depending on where you live it lands with the first coffee or in the middle of the afternoon, and both work: it is one message, short enough to read in ten seconds, with one question under it. It is not a stream of notifications. It is one line a day from someone who will ask about it tomorrow.

If your problem is the alarm itself, if it goes and you do not, Michelle wrote a guide on waking up early that starts the night before.

A daily check in app you switch off in one tap

Type /daily in her chat and the daily message stops. Type it again and it comes back. No settings menu, no account page, no email to unsubscribe from. The switch is per chat, so you can keep Sofia Swift's messages and quiet Michelle's, or the other way around.

And it is free. The daily message costs nothing and never counts against anything. Talking to her afterwards is free to start too, with a number of free messages every day; a pass for a day or a month is there if you want more.

You can answer the message

The quote is only the start. Reply with what you plan to do today, and she can ask about it tomorrow. Read more about the conversation on the talk to AI page, or see how check-ins work on the AI motivation coach page.

Questions people ask

When does the daily motivation message arrive?
Once a day, at the same time every day, in Telegram, from whichever of the three you have started. Depending on where you live it lands with breakfast or with the afternoon coffee.
Will I get the same quote twice?
No. Each character keeps a record of what she has sent you and never repeats one. The deck is over a hundred verified quotes and it grows.
Are the quotes real?
Yes. Every quote carries the name of the person who actually said or wrote it, checked against a source before it went into the deck. The misattributed internet favorites were thrown out.
How do I stop the daily messages?
Type /daily in her chat. It switches the daily message off for that chat in one tap, and the same command turns it back on.
Is it free?
Yes. The daily message is free, and talking to her afterwards is free to start. A pass for a day or a month adds more if you want it.
Can I get it in my language?
The message is in English, with a translate button under it. Her replies in the chat come in whatever language you write in.
